A very unique date. It has been a huge phenomenon in the internet world. Many people are boasting their birthday or setting their wedding on this day. But how special is this day actually?

Today, is also remembrance day. It is a day to remember the soldier that went for war a long long time ago. More than that, it is to commemorate the day hostilities formally ended. World War I formally ended.

It is also a day where Ned Kelly was hanged. He is an Australian bushranger. Bushrangers are like rebels or runaway convicts. Some would consider Ned Kelly as one of the most notorious cop-killer. This day, 1880, he was hanged. Just earlier this year, anthropologist claims that they have found his skeleton, but his skull is still at large.

Another significant point about today is that today marks the end of a countdown to a festival. The Kpop Music Festival. In Sydney! KARA!! Hyunah!! KARA!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I won’t be going. *frowny face*

Also, after today, there are 50 days left till the end of the year. But more importantly, after today, a friend of mine, Esther (middle picture) will be in Brisbane for only another 28 days. 7 days from now, it will be her farewell party.

 

Well, some of those things aren’t relevant to the date right?

Right, but they still make this a memorable day for me.

Fact is, every day is unique. We can list out a list of interesting thing every day, but in the end, what really matters is what we do on that day. Have we accomplished what we want to do? Are we happy with how that day went?

It doesn’t really matter if some explorer found Hawaii 50 years ago, what matters is right now.

Today is a special day. How special it is compared to the days to come? I have no idea, but it is special to me nonetheless.

And last but not least, today is the day I end my hiatus!! As well as my 100th post in this blog. By the time the next 11.11.11 comes, this blog will be legendary
